My first Twenty20 cricket appearance

Hi Guys,

My name is Deepak Rammohan and I am a graduate student in the Aerospace Engineering program here at The Ohio State University. I am writing this blog in reference to the Delonti Twenty20 Cricket Tournament organized by the United Cricket Club of Columbus.

I am basically a right arm medium pacer with a straight, open chested bowling action. I am playing for a cricket club called Googly Cricket Club and this is the first time I am playing with a leather ball. I made by Twenty20 debut last week against Renegades Cricket Club. The end result was a victory for our team. I bowled 4 overs for 12 runs and took 3 wickets. I had to open the bowling along with another bowler, Vyas Krishnamurthy.

My first spell was tight and I gave away just 10 runs and took the wicket of one of the openers for Renegades CC. I came back later in the 17th over and took 2 wickets in 2 balls. Renegades made 73/10 in 19.3 overs and we chased it down with plenty of overs to spare.

Our batting was very good with the openers adapting to the new ball and making a brisk start. Openers Bhavin and Amit played the new ball pretty well and did a good job by standing guard and making runs at the same time. Unfortunately Amit fell victim to a direct hit from the boundary and was run out. Bhavin kept up the temp by hitting a few good shots, but he also fell to the
